AMC's The Walking Dead continues to solidify its place as the season's best performing series

Sunday's midseason finale collected 10.5 million total viewers in its initial broadcast at 9 p.m., slightly than October's third season premiere, but up 58 percent vs. season two's midseason finale.

In the adults 18-49 demo, the episode scored 6.9 million total viewers, up 54 percent vs. season two's midseason finale.

While an official fourth-season renewal has not yet been announced, it's more of a when and not if as AMC opened a contest in late September offering lucky blood donors a chance to win a trip to the set of The Walking Dead season four -- ahead of its October return.

October's premiere scored 10.9 million total viewers, making it the highest-rated episode in series history, up more than 50 percent from its record-breaking season two premiere. The episode previously stood as the biggest telecast for any drama series in basic cable history among total viewers. In the key advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demo, the 9 p.m. broadcast collected 7.3 million viewers, with 6.1 million among adults 25-54, all series bests at the time.

Factoring in broadcasts at 9 p.m., 10 p.m. and midnight, the series based on the comics by Robert Kirkman collected TK million total viewers over the course of the night.

Some ratings highlights from the series:

• Season 3 premiere, 10/14/12: 10.9 million total viewers, 7.3 million in 18-49, 6.1 million in 25-54

• Season 2 finale, 3/18/12: 9 million total viewers, 6 million in 18-49, 5.3 million in 25-54*

• Season 2 midseason premiere, 2/12/12: 8.1 million total, 5.4 million* in 18-49, 4.4 million* in 25-54

• Season 2 premiere, 10/17/11: 7.3 million total, 4.8 million* in 18-49, 4.2 million* in 25-54

• Season 2 midseason finale, 11/27/11: 6.6 million total, 4.5 million in 18-49, 3.9 million in 25-54

• Season 1 finale, 12/5/10: 6 million total, 4 million in 18-49, 3.5 million in 25-54

• Season 1 premiere, 10/31/10: 5.4 million total viewers, 2.7 million in 18-49

* Record at the time

Meanwhile, Chris Hardwicke's Walking Dead postshow The Talking Dead collected 2.2 million total viewers at 11 p.m., up from the 2.1 million total viewers its season three premiere scored. During Sunday's episode, Hardwicke announced the series would move up to immediately follow Walking Dead and expand from 30 minutes to an hour starting in February. (Kevin Smith's Comic Book Men will move to Thursdays as the cabler launches an unscripted block for the night.)

The Walking Dead and Talking Dead return Sunday, Feb. 10 on AMC.

Making for a surprising Hollywood pair, it looks like Kristin Chenoweth and former “Bachelor” Jake Pavelka are now an official item.

Coyly speaking about their fairly new romance, “The Good Wife” actress told People mag, “We have been spending a little time together.”

Although Kristin admits fitting dates into her schedule can sometimes be difficult, she explained that after suffering a head injury on set earlier this year, she is more focused on her happiness.

"A lot of people know that I got hurt in July," Chenoweth said, adding, "I am doing so much better but I think it slowed me down and I've realized life is short. I want to do things that make me happy."

The 44 year-old Hollywood beauty, and Pavelka, 34, reportedly met back at an event in October and have since been spotted out together, most recently a local café near Jake’s Texas home.

2013 Golden Globe Predictions: Best Supporting Actress

via glooce

( Collapse )

Here's our take on the best supporting actress category, which is not divided into subcategories like the lead acting races. So basically, it's similar to the Oscar race. Though something tells me Maggie Smith and Judi Dench -- far from sure things in the Oscar race for "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and "Skyfall" -- both sneak in here to become double nominees (they are both predicted in the comedy/musical actress category as well).  Though watch out for Nicole Kidman in "The Paperboy" as a potential surprise. The Globes love Nicole Kidman.

Either way, though, Anne Hathaway has basically already won this award...

Best supporting actress predictions below. Check out all predictions in all the categories here.

1. Anne Hathaway, Les Miserables

2. Sally Field, Lincoln

3. Helen Hunt, The Sessions

4. Maggie Smith, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

5. Judi Dench, Skyfall

6. Samantha Barks, Les Miserables

7. Amy Adams, The Master

8. Helena Bonham Carter, Les Miserables

9. Nicole Kidman, The Paperboy

10. Scarlett Johannson, Hitchcock

Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba 'Make One HOT Dublin Duo'

via glooce

michaelfassidris031212

OP'S NOTE: Idris Elba may be five years older but he's looking a decade better -- don't drink heavily and smoke, kids!

Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba are two of our hottest stars of 2012 after starring in Prometheus together, so we were excited to see these pics of them hanging out in Dublin together this weekend!

Michael was there to support Idris as he DJ'd and rapped at Bucks Townhouse, and enjoyed a night off! Shortly he'll be playing Magneto again in the new X-Men movie, alongside his older counterpart, Sir Ian McKellen.

Not only was he supporting Idris this weekend, he was spotted giving Ryan Gosling a shoulder massage not so long ago.

Meanwhile, Idris is working on a third series of Luther. We can't wait to see them back on our screens soon! BS
