Kate Middleton drops in at Starbucks near palace

via glooce

One grande decaf skinny latte for the Duchess, pronto! Last Friday, Jan. 11, a pregnant Kate Middleton quietly emerged from Kensington Palace for a very hush-hush jaunt: A walk through Kensington Gardens with dog Lupo followed by a drop-in at a nearby Starbucks!

Escorted by a security guard, the 31-year-old Duchess "looked beautiful," an onlooker tells Us Weekly. "Her hair was done nicely and she had a scarf, lovely long coat and boots on." Still under wraps, although Middleton is now in her second trimester? Her baby bump. "She was wrapped up warm, so I couldn't see the bump," the observer explains.

As the security guard waited outside with Lupo, Prince William's wife went inside and placed her order herself: Her decaf drink, plus a cookie. "Kate was smiling," the observer continues, adding that she "paid with a Starbucks card, which she swiped herself."

Thus armed with provisions, the expectant royal took Lupo's leash back from the security guard (the pooch is "so cute and well-behaved," the spy says), and the trio continued on their walk.

"She's a regular," a Starbucks staffer tells Us of the unassuming Duchess. This past Monday, she and William, 30, announced they "are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July," adding that "The Duchess's condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month." (Middleton's first trimester was marred by acute morning sickness.)

Kate Middleton and Prince Harry's Royal Baby coming up in July

via glooce

One of the most anticipated births in recent history is expected in July, when the third in line to the British throne is due to arrive, St. James's Palace said this morning.

''Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July," the palace said in a statement. "The Duchess's condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month.''

Reading between the lines, the palace statement implies that the royal couple will have one child, dispelling speculation that the duchess is carrying twins.

Doing the math, if the new prince or princess arrives early, he or she could share a birthday with William's mother, Princess Diana, who was born July 1. But the due date looks likely to be mid-July.

Kate Middleton, 31, who is 13 to 14 weeks pregnant, is continuing to do better after spending four nights at a hospital last month because of severe morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum.

The duchess has since cut her public engagements, keeping a low profile as she recovers. Her most recent appearance was for the unveiling of her official portrait Friday with royal watchers spotting a tiny baby bump.

Prince Charles recently delighted at the prospect of being a grandpa, saying, it's ''a very nice thought of grandfatherhood at my old age, if I may say so. So that's splendid. And I'm very glad my daughter-in-law is getting better, thank goodness.''

A royal spokesman says both will be out of the picture for the foreseeable future with William, 30, carrying on with his day job as a search-and-rescue pilot and Kate putting her feet up and out of the spotlight.

Is Kate Middleton pregnant of Twins?

via glooce

When Prince William and Kate's official announcement that she is pregnant came Monday, the palace said she was "expecting a baby."

But in light of the fact that the Duchess of Cambridge is also suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a form of acute morning sickness, there has been growing speculation that she may, in fact, be expecting twins.

According to the National Institutes of Health, the Duchess's rare condition tends to appear more often in women carrying twins.

So what would it mean for the royal family if Kate, 30 – who was discharged from the hospital Thursday – were to deliver two little royals? A pair of heirs?

Nope, royal experts tell PEOPLE. In fact, it's all a bit complicated.

The firstborn twin would have a completely different path than his or her sibling, says royal historian Robert Lacey, author of The Queen: A Life in Brief: "The first child to appear will have precedence. Whichever one comes out first will be the heir – and it will be the call of the obstetrician if there is a caesarean section."

And the obstetrician will make that delivery based on the location of the babies during labor, Mark Johnson, Professor of Obstetrics at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, tells PEOPLE.

Says Johnson: "If delivering vaginally, the first baby to enter the pelvis will be delivered first. If delivering by c-section it very much depends on the which baby is closest to the incision, generally that will be the lower of the two babies."

A year ago, the British government voted to modernize the rule of succession so that in the event of twins, a firstborn girl would not lose the title of heir if a boy were to be subsequently born to the royal couple. But that rule hasn't been implemented yet.

Under the current law of the land, says Lacey, "If the twins are a girl first followed by a boy, the boy will be next in succession."

When or if the law is changed, adds Lacey, "the boy would be ousted by his sister."

If Kate is pregnant with twins, William, who will surely be present for the births, will be able to see firsthand which baby is born first. But in the past that wasn't the case, adds Lacey.

In other eras, "the Home Secretary was on hand in the hospital to ensure there was no foul play," says Lacey, "since there were fears that if the firstborn turned out to be a girl, she might get swapped for a substitute baby boy – and smuggled into the bed in a warming pan."

Monaco Princess Charlotte Casiraghi has a bad taste of fashion by wearing Native American Costume

via glooce

Charlotte Casiraghi has become the latest public figure to spark anger for wearing a Native American costume.

The Monaco royal, 26, who chose the ensemble to participate in the Gucci-sponsored Paris Masters International Jumping Competition this weekend, was branded 'ignorant' and 'racist' by Tumblr users, many of whom appeared to be royal fans, judging by their usernames.

Royalwatcher wrote on the site: 'I don’t know who told her it was cute to dress in traditonal clothing of Native American but gurlll, I’m judging you and not in the good way.'

Prince Harry Nude Photos: Prince William Is "Not Impressed"

VIA GLOOCE

Prince Harry's in the royal dog house.
After bonafide nude photos of the 27-year-old royal partying in Vegas stormed the web late Tuesday, the fallout was quick.

Among the disappointed is his big brother Prince William. "William was told about the photos this morning," a royal insider told Us Weekly on Wednesday of Kate Middleton's husband, 30. "He's not impressed."

No word yet on how other members of the royal family -- his father Prince Charles, grandmother Queen Elizabeth or sister-in-law Kate Middleton -- have reacted to the scandal.

Professionally speaking, Harry -- a trained military helicopter pilot on leave during his wild weekend -- has some explaining to do as well.

"He will be reprimanded [by the army]. Officers should never bring the Service into disrepute, whether on or off duty," a senior military source tells Us. "This display of social misbehavior has raised eyebrows."

Harry, who spent much of fall 2011 in Arizona and California during an intensive training period, "won't be dismissed" from the army, the source assures Us. "This type of behavior is not expected of someone his age and rank. They will call him in when he gets back and want to talk to him about it."

Prince Harry tried to end Ryan Lochte’s championship reign Monday, duking it out with the Olympic hero in an after-hours race at a boozy Las Vegas pool party.
The wild Windsor jumped in the water around 3 a.m. still wearing his jeans and cleared a path through the Wynn hotel’s XS Nightclub pool, exclusive video obtained by the Daily News shows.

A bevy of bikini-clad beauties watched as Lochte counted to three on his left hand and blasted to a quick lead over the 27-year-old playboy prince.

The Olympic icon won the impromptu breaststroke battle, raising both arms in victory and hugging Harry amid 5,000 fellow revelers.

Lochte hit the alcohol-soaked Sin City shindig with his gold medal teammate Cullen Jones for a belated celebration of his recent 28th birthday. The pair have hit Tao in the Venetian and the Azure at the Palazzo before taking the royal dip Monday.

Since winning 11 medals at the London Olympics, Lochte has also been busy thinking about the future. He reportedly wants $750,000 to become the next Bachelor and he’s also set to guest star on an episode of the CW’s 90210.

Prince Harry’s pit-stop in Vegas came after a visit to San Diego where he hosted a charity event, according to the royal itinerary from Buckingham Palace.

On Saturday, the fun-loving prince sported red swim trunks and a fedora while lounging with friends at MGM Grand's Wet Republic pool party, hosted by Jennifer Lopez.

Prince Harry Partied With Ryan Lochte In Las Vegas This Weekend

Via Glooce

by Hilary George-Parkin | 10:34 am, August 20th, 2012

What did you do this weekend?
We’re sure it was a good time, but unless you were at Las Vegas’ XS Nightclub partying with Prince Harry AND Ryan Lochte, you were definitely missing out.

That’s right, folks: the Olympian and the royal were at the very same pool party this weekend, and its probably for the best that we didn’t get wind of this fact until this morning, otherwise you can pretty much bet we’d still be sunning ourselves in Sin City at this very moment. The Daily Beast reports that Harry and his boys stayed at the luxurious Wynn hotel, and spent their Saturday sipping vodka cranberries by the pool, “joined by a revolving cast of bikini clad women,” natch.

Lochte, meanwhile, celebrated his birthday poolside (yes, the very same pool) wearing the pink Speedo he debuted on The Tonight Show, followed by a pretty impressive Olympic-themed cake. The two bachelors then moved the party to the nightclub upstairs where they danced the night away, and no doubt inspired endless “Would You Rather?” games amongst the women present (No? Just us? Ok, then.)

Thanks to the wonders of Twitter (and, we guess, paparazzi), even those of us who had the misfortune of being anywhere other than Vegas this weekend can get a glimpse of this action ourselves.

Prince William Saves Drowning Girl in Helicopter Rescue

via glooce

The Duke of Cambridge, a Royal Air Force Pilot, and his crew found the teenager off the coast of Wales.

Prince Charming is no longer cornering the market on rescuing damsels in distress.

Britain’s Prince William took part in the life-saving rescue of a 16-year-old girl Thursday, CNN reports. William, a Royal Air Force pilot, had just landed a helicopter as part of an RAF Search and Rescue Force exercise, when he and the crew got word of a person in trouble.

The crew took just 38 seconds to reach the point off the coast of Wales where the girl and a friend had been body-boarding before being caught in a rip current. The friend was been rescued by a surfer, but the girl was still in the water, and appeared exhausted when the crew arrived.

"We never know what we'll face when we're called out,” said the crew’s paramedic, Master Aircrew "Harry" Harrison. “Sometimes it's just a twisted ankle or a broken bone, but this was one rescue where we truly did arrive in the nick of time and managed to save this young girl's life.”

Both girls were flown to a hospital in Bangor, north Wales. After the rescue, the girl Prince William's crew rescued said she thought she was going to drown.

A torrent of messages from admirers of the newly minted hero have appeared on Twitter since the rescue, including some still sore over recent comments Justin Bieber made about William's thinning hairline.

"Prince Will rescues a girl from drowning, what did you do today Bieber aside from giving jerky interviews?" one William fan wrote.

"Prince William rescued a drowning teenager in a helicopter rescue off the coast of Wales. Your move, Ryan Gosling," another wrote.

Prince William has been stationed on the Welsh Island of Anglesey since 2010, where he lives with his wife, Kate Middleton.
