Oprah Winfrey on the set of 'The Butler'

Via Glooce

Oprah Winfrey hasn't taken it easy for her first lead major screen appearance since 1998's The Beloved.

The chat show host has landed a leading role in Lee Daniel's eagerly awaited epic The Butler, playing a woman who ages from 22 to 90 years old throughout the movie.

It's not clear whether another actress will play the character in her younger year or Daniel will use special effects, but the 59-year-old will certainly play her as an aging lady.

The iconic TV star was seen being transformed into a glitzed up grandmother for the part of Gloria Gaines, the wife of White House butler Cecil - played by Forest Whitaker.

Winfrey let her fans know of the gruelling process required for the part in July, tweeting them as make up artists applied a silicone cast of her face for the role.

She wrote: 'Feeling a little claustrophobic in here.'

Winfrey added: 'Fun day. Makeup artists doing a silicon cast for my face for new movie The Butler.'

The character is no prim and proper wife, and has been described as sassy but vulnerable.

The film is based on the true life story of a butler who served eight different U.S. presidents from 1952 to 1986, including Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan.

The film by Precious director Daniels boasts an all-star cast, including John Cusack as Nixon, Robin Williams as Eisenhower, Rickman as Ronald Reagan and James Marsden and Minka Kelly as John and Jackie Kennedy.

Daniels has also recruited his Precious actors Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz for the movie.

Likely buoyed by strong ratings from recent celeb interviews, Oprah Winfrey is continuing along that path.

Her Rihanna interview was OWN's second highest ratings broadcast in the network's short history; she's already bagged Olympic medal winner and America's new sweetheart, Gabby Douglas for the next episode of her Next Chapter series; and now, keeping the momentum going, it has been announced that Jennifer Hudson will sit with Oprah for a one-on-one, in Hudson's Chicago home.

Per the press release, the conversation with J-Hud will air on the September 9th episode of Next Chapter.

What can we expect? We don't know yet, but I expect there'll be talk about her family, career, and weight-loss to start. the OWN press release does state:

Oprah sits down with Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy-winning actress-singer Jennifer Hudson for an intimate conversation at her home in Chicago.

The interview follows the conviction of William Balfour, who was charged with murdering members of Hudson's family in 2008.

Up next for Hudson is a role in the upcoming second season of NBC's Smash.

Rihanna tells Oprah 'I still love' Chris Brown on 'Oprah's Next Chapter'

    Via Glooce

Rihanna has not only forgiven Chris Brown, the "Talk That Talk" singer has admitted to still being in love with him.

"I'm single but we have maintained a very close friendship since the restraining order has been dropped," Rihanna said in an interview Sunday. "It's not easy."

As previously reported, the Grammy Award winning singer and actress joined Oprah Winfrey for a no-holds-barred interview in Barbados. Open and honest, she also confirmed rumors that she and Brown reconnected in St. Tropez earlier this year.

"We went to a mutual friend's party on a yacht. It's awkward because I still love him," Rihanna said while admitting that her "stomach drops" when she's around him. "I have to maintain this poker face."

While they have reconnected, not just in person but via music on the remixes to their songs "Birthday Cake" and "Turn Up The Music," Rihanna has moved forward but still cares about Brown's well being.

Calling him the "first love" of her life, Rihanna says "I'm not at peace if he is unhappy."

"I truly love him and the main thing for me is that he is at peace," says Rihanna. "I'm not at peace if he is unhappy or he is still lonely. I care. It actually matters that he finds that peace."

While appearing "Oprah's Next Chapter" Rihanna also had a few special moments, including giving her mother a house and visiting her childhood home.
