ZAYN Malik must regret telling his 1D bandmates about his fear of flying.

The cheeky ratbags (wat), led by Louis Tomlinson, 20, used the info to scare the living daylights out of him up in the clouds.

Zayn, 19, right, admitted: “I was terrified of flying when we started. Before the band I’d never been on a plane which was sad and depressing."

“One time we got up into the air and Louis turned to me and said: ‘This is where the plane does the loop de loop’. “I believed it, it was really scary. I was so gullible, I nearly cried.” (lol)

It sounds like Zayn’s a prankster’s dream.

But there are further embarrassing revelations to come from Planet One Direction, as Harry Styles admits he used to be the ultimate cheesy pop fan.

The curly-haired Romeo, 18, confessed: “I was obsessed with S Club Juniors when I was younger. It was when I was small and had a bowl haircut. I might do that again and bring it back...”

Not to be left out of the 1D confession session, Liam Payne, 19, revealed that geography isn’t his strong point. He admitted:

“There have been times when I’ve been in Ireland and said ‘Hello, Birmingham.’ I just say things off the cuff. I forget where I am sometimes.” (#TheresAlwaysTimeForManors)

One Direction star Zayn Malik has revealed that the boyband find it difficult to cope with the "upsetting" criticism of bandmate, Harry Styles.

During an interview with The Sun, the 19-year old hunk revealed that despite his wild ways, people do not realise how sensitive Hazza is when it comes to his personal life.

Speaking of Styles, the Live While We're Young singer claimed: "He is the baby of the group, but people seem to forget that because of the way that he is and that he is so charming.

"So it is a little bit upsetting sometimes if you see him with the weight of the world on his shoulders."

He added: "It does annoy us a bit. He's a young kid and people are just giving him grief for no reason."

Earlier this week, Zayn also admitted that he quit Twitter after being branded a 'terrorist' on the mirco-blogging site.

One Direction star Liam Payne fears for bandmate Zayn Malik

Via Glooce

One Direction star Liam Payne is concerned his bandmate Zayn Malik is struggling to come to terms with fame, insisting the pop star has had a "terrible time" facing criticism online.

The boyband shot to fame in the U.K. on Simon Cowell's The X Factor in 2010, and have gone on to become a global sensation, catapulting all five members into the limelight.

Payne insists most of the group love the attention they receive, but he worries about Malik, who recently temporarily deleted his Twitter.com account after reading a slew of nasty messages.

Payne tells Britain's The Sun, "We've (the band) had such a good laugh together and achieved so much together. We're definitely like brothers.

"The only person I really worry about is Zayn, because I don't think he's quite accustomed to all of this. He had a terrible time on Twitter... I don't think he's quite adjusted to it yet. I'm sure he'll get it. He's my best mate. I've got to look out for him."

ONE DIRECTION: GETTING IN GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS BOOK IS A DREAM

Via Glooce

One Direction have claimed a record-breaking first after becoming the first UK group to debut at No.1 in USA with a debut album after Up All Night entered at No.1 on 31 March 2012.

In the process, the boys bettered the 1997 achievement of The Spice Girls, who previously held the record for the Highest entry into US album chart by a British group when Spice entered at No.6.

The British five-piece, made up of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, were formed in 2010 by the X Factor judges after they failed to impress as solo artists on the TV talent show.

Commenting on the record, the band said: "Being the first British band to debut at Number 1 in America with a debut album is something that we would have never even have dreamt of. We are incredibly proud to have this achievement included in the Guinness World Records book.

One Direction's record and many, many more feature in the new Guinness World Records 2013 edition - available worldwide from 13th September 2012.
