New "Star Trek Into Darkness" Movie Stils

via glooce

Remember when the little Star Trek sequel releasing this year was the big thing from J.J. Abrams? That changed last month with the announcement that the director would next tackle Star Wars, and yesterday’s announcement of a partnership with Valve was the icing on the cake.

But there’s still Star Trek Into Darkness to come before we see the fruit of Abrams’ new deals, and the second Trek movie from Abrams still looks like it could be one of the year’s more entertaining tentpoles. A few new images have cropped up today, and while none features any big reveal, there are a couple good shots. Those poor redshirts escorting Benedict Cumberbatch can’t be in for a good fate. Usually we’d worry most about the redshirts on an away mission, but it’s probably reasonable to expect that Cumberbatch’s character John Harrison is one of those guys who is just as dangerous when captured as he is running free.

First Look At Emma Roberts & John Cusack In 'Adult World'

via glooce

As the 2012 movie season winds down, just around the corner is 2013 with a whole new slate of films on the horizon, and one we'll be keeping an eye out for is Scott Coffey's "Adult World." And to give you a tease of what's to come, today we have the exclusive first images from the forthcoming feature.

The film brings together a pretty intriguing cast with Emma Roberts, John Cusack, Evan Peters ("American Horror Story"), Shannon Woodward ("Raising Hope"), Cloris Leachman and John Cullum, in a satirical coming-of-age comedy, centered on the life of Amy Anderson (Roberts) who has just graduated with a degree in poetry. Convinced she is the next star in the literary world, she moves back with her parents to write poetry and find her place in the world. Very soon -- saddled with a stack of rejection letters, unpaid student loans, and no money -- she decides to find a job in the real world. The only place that will hire her is an adult bookstore called Adult World. It's there that Amy meets Manny (Peters) the store manager, and his transvestite friend Rubia (Armando Riesco). Meanwhile Amy goes to a poetry reading by her hero, Rat Billings (John Cusack), “one of the greatest punk poets of the early 90s" and after stalking him, he agrees to mentor her and help get her work published.

The picture will feature a score by Wolf Parade/Handsome Furs/Divine Fits frontman Dan Boeckner, who has also penned a new song for the film called "Floating World." Treehouse Pictures -- the team behind Ramin Bahrani's "At Any Price" and the Richard Gere starring "Arbitrage" -- are backing "Adult World" as well. No release date yet, but we'll be keeping a firm look at the Sundance schedule, as Coffey premiered his feature debut "Ellie Parker" starring Naomi Watts in Park City in 2005.

New Batch of TAKEN 2 Movie Stills Show Liam Neeson & Maggie Grace in Action

Via GLOOCE

A batch of new images from the “Liam Neeson kicks more ass” action sequel Taken 2 has gone online. In the follow-up, Neeson’s character unwisely takes his family on a European vacation, only to find himself and his wife (Famke Janssen) taken hostage by the family members of the random henchmen that Neeson brutally murdered in the first film. These new images unsurprisingly show Neeson being a badass, and we also get a few shots of Janssen and Maggie Grace running around. At least everyone’s getting some healthy cardio in whilst fleeing from scary guys with guns.

Hit the jump to check out the images. Directed by Olivier Megaton, Taken 2 opens on October 5th.
