Nicki Minaj To Film Reality Show About Fashion Line

via glooce

Nicki Minaj appears to have gotten the bug for having cameras follow her every move as she has revealed plans to film a new reality show based on her upcoming fashion line.

The 'Starships' rapper is currently starring in her first reality show, Nicki Minaj: My Truth, which airs on E! and follows the starlet as she prepares for her 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' tour while also charting the early days of her stint on American Idol.

With the launch of her first clothing line being scheduled for launch in 2013, Nicki says it could be filmed for a new fly-on-the-wall series - however, she has to overcome her fear of being criticized first.

"I'll see how overwhelming it is," Nicki told Billboard."If I feel like it's too personal, people discussing too much, I won't do it. I think overall, it's about overcoming everything when you're trying to get something done and how hard it is to balance everything. I was beginning American Idol, preparing the tour, doing video shoots. It should be called Multi-Tasking at its finest."

Speaking about her relationship with Mariah Carey on her docu-series, Nicki says that Mariah probably wasn't betting on meeting someone just as fiery and diva-like as her.

"I think Mariah met her match this time, and I don't think she was expecting to meet her match."

However, her bust up with Mariah may never have happened after the star admitted that she was unsure about whether or not she wanted to become a judge on the hit US TV talent show.

"I'm super nervous and anxious for the first day on American Idol. I'm still second guessing my decision. I'm probably going to be a hundred times guessing this decision because I'm human. It's a big job", Nicki said whilst cameras followed her around as she prepared for her first day on the show last month.

Nicki's fashion reality show plans follow hot on the heels of Rihanna's failed attempt at the same type of documentary, which was pulled from Sky Living this month due to scheduling issues.

"Scheduling all these popstars with our filming schedule was a nightmare. Rihanna’s diary was manic, and to be honest, after it struggled for viewers it was always going to be difficult to get her to agree to do another series," a source told Mail Online.

Stevie Nicks would have killed NIcki Minaj

via glooce

Last season on “American Idol,” Stevie Nicks was a coach for the contestants. But she says she’s glad she’s not involved this year, now that smack-talking Nicki Minaj is there. Weighing on the rapper’s recent outburst against Carey, Nicks said, “How dare this little girl! … If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there.”

Sitting poolside in East Hampton New York promoting her new documentary, “In Your Dreams,” the still stunning 64-year-old is on a rock and a roll. “I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it,” the former Fleetwood Mac star promised.

Nicks also revealed if she and Lindsey Buckingham were starting out today they would “absolutely” go on “American Idol,” “The X Factor” or “The Voice.” “That’s how you get seen these days,” she explained. But, Nicks says, “I would have had to drag [Lindsey] kicking and screaming. He probably would have given them the finger.”

And would she ever judge a show like that? Nicks insists, no way. “If you stick me in the middle of a burning fire,” she says, “I don’t think I’d like it very much.”

'American Idol' execs squash rumors they're firing Nicki Minaj

via Glooce

American Idol producers are putting an end to talk they're on the verge of dropping Nicki Minaj from the popular talent show's newest judging panel.

"Despite all the accusations and media speculation -- much of which is inaccurate -- production is going extremely well today and the judges are focused on finding the best talent here in Baton Rouge," Idol producers said in a statement Friday.

In the past few days, much ado has been made about the rapper's future with Idol since video leaked of Nicki Minaj feuding with her co-judge Mariah Carey, as well as various lively statements from both parties in the days since.

"This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we've ever had. We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can't imagine a better group to find the next AMERICAN IDOL," The Idol execs go on to say.

Earlier this week, fellow judge Keith Urban weighed in on the testy situation, assuring that all is well despite appearances.

"We're putting the fun back in dysfunction, that's what we're doing," he joked. "We're four passionate people, some more so than others, and we're very intense artists and it comes out in different ways. But the great thing is we've been hearing killer singers."

Season twelve of American Idol is set to premiere in January 2013.

NICKI MINAJ Allegedly Targets Mariah IF I HAD A GUN

via Glooce

Nicki Minaj's rant on the "American Idol" set Tuesday went way beyond name-calling ... she threatened Mariah Carey's life -- this according to sources connected to the production.

Our sources say ... in the heat of the argument, Nicki said, "If I had a gun I would shoot her."

The alleged threat was not captured on the video obtained by TMZ. But this is interesting ... if you listen to the audio closely, 11 seconds in you hear Nicki say to Mariah, "Off with your head! Off with your head!."

A source close to Nicki says the singer calls B.S. on the death threat allegation.

Update: Nigel Lythgoe tells TMZ, "The statement [that Nicki made a death threat] is absolute rubbish. It's absolutely not true in any way, shape or form." Nigel added that Mariah confronted Nicki this morning and asked if she made the death threat and Nicki said absolutely not. Nigel says Mariah's people are stirring the pot and gave her bad info.

Obama: Nicki Minaj Didn't Really Endorse Romney

Via Glooce

President Barack Obama says he isn’t sure what to make of rapper Nicki Minaj’s apparent endorsement of Mitt Romney, or whether to believe she was being serious.

“I’m not sure that’s actually what happened,” Obama told an Orlando hip-hop station this morning. “I think she had a song on there — a little rap that said that,” Obama said. “But she likes to play different characters, so I don’t know what’s going on there.”

The president was referencing the fact that Minaj is known for adopting off-beat alter-egos as part of her act.
