Hopes dashed: It's not Taylor Swift's house
It turns out, those rumors just weren’t true. A New York hedge fund manager — not Taylor Swift — signed a contract to buy the house next door to the Kennedy compound, according to the real estate agency representing the property’s seller.Paul Grover, a principal in Robert Paul Properties, said the buyer signed a contract for the home at 27 Marchant Ave. in Hyannisport, but the sale has not closed yet.
The home, which is near the heart of the Kennedy compound, had drawn heavy national media attention after rumors started that country-pop star Taylor Swift bought it. People magazine reported earlier this month that Swift had bought the house, citing a “realtor in Hyannis” whom it did not name.
Swift is dating Conor Kennedy, the grandson of the late Robert F. Kennedy and his wife, Ethel, who lives across the street. Swift has been spotted around Hyannis this summer with her new beau. The new couple have also been sighted in the singer's hometown of Nashville, Kennedy's hometown of Mount Kisco, NY and in Boston, where they attended the wedding of Kyle Kennedy and took in a Red Sox game.
