THE 50th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise isn’t only an excuse for movie buffs to celebrate, as beauty junkies can look forward to OPI’s first-ever 18 karat gold leaf top coat inspired by the world of 007.

Last month, the nail brand announced it would be feting the special Bond anniversary and its 23rd instalment Skyfall with 12 Bond-inspired shades with names such as The World Is Not Enough, The Spy Who Loved Me and Tomorrow Never Dies launching in salons this October.

Now, the company has unveiled another Bond addition for the October US and British launch – called The Man with the Golden Gun. Packaged in a special limited edition collectable gold bottle, the 18 karat gold polish is set to retail at US$38 (RM118), just in time for the premiere of Skyfall.

Meanwhile, aspiring Bond girls can look forward to spritzing their men with the new James Bond 007 fragrance, which will help gentlemen capture the aroma of the world’s most famous spy.

Eon Productions, which produces the James Bond films, has joined Procter & Gamble Co. to create the new scent, which has notes including fresh apple, cardamom and sandalwood.

Prices will start at US$30 for a small bottle, with the launch kicking off at prestigious British department store Harrods Aug 15.

It will then be rolled out in other European countries and destinations including the United States, India and China. – AFP Relaxnews
