Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, and David Cross reunited in LA yesterday to begin filming new episodes of Arrested Development. The cast is getting back together after a six-year break to shoot 10 new episodes that will air in 2013 on Netflix. Jason tweeted a photo from the set accompanied with a message, "First day. Away we go . . ."
Rumors about a possible Arrested Development movie started swirling over a year ago. According to Jason, the Arrested Development reboot promises to be "everything you would want it to be and more." The show's creator Mitch Hurwitz says there's still the possibility of a movie spin-off and future episodes if this season is a hit with fans. Will Arnett is expected to return as his eccentric character Gob Bluth, though he'll be double-booked with his other show, Up All Night, currently shooting their second season.
