The nominees are a long ways from being announced, but Emmy 2013 now has a date: Sept. 22.
CBS will televise the kudocast from the Nokia Theater. It is the Eye's turn in the "wheel" agreement among broadcasters, where NBC, CBS, Fox and ABC alternate each year.
The most recent telecast on ABC hosted by Jimmy Kimmel in September drew 13.2 million viewers. That was up from the 12.4 million who tuned in to Fox and host Jane Lynch in 2011, but slightly more than 13.5 million for the Jimmy Fallon-led NBC telecast in 2010.
Nominations will be announced July 18.
The Sept. 22, 2013, date reps the day before the official start of the fall TV season.
