ARCHITECTURE-Pictures of New Islamic Wing on The Louvre Museum in Paris

The famous French museum The Louvre opened wing dedicated to Islamic art. Museum presented exhibits from around the world, dating from VII-XIX centuries.

Above ground floor and underground galleries are covered with long, wavy, “gold” roof. On this construction work of designers and architects Mario Bellini Architect (s) in collaboration with Rudy Ricciotti Architecture. This golden tent called is “Chapel of the Intercession”

Work on the “Islamic wing” was conducted for over 10 years. The project is funded by the Governments of France, as well as contributions from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Morocco, Kuwait and Azerbaijan.
